You can define and use labels within Dotpost to help you categorise and identify documents.
A label consists of text (16 characters maximum) and a colour.
Creating Labels
It is very easy to create labels.
Web browser
- You can add a new label by selecting My Dotpost > Document Labels from the main menu or

You can add a new label by selecting the document in your inbox and selecting the label action.
- Add new label into the Document Labels window and click save
Android app
- You can add a new label by selecting Labels from the main menu or
- You can add a new label by selecting the document in your inbox and swiping left to get to the actions and selecting the label action.
iOS app
- You can add a new label by selecting My Labels from the main menu or
- You can add a new label by opening the document from your inbox and selecting the label action.
Applying Labels
You can apply a label directly from the inbox or by setting an Inbox Rule.
Removing Labels
You can remove a label from a document directly from your inbox.
Deleting Labels
To delete a label
Web browser
- Go to My Dotpost > Document Labels
- Select the label(s) you wish to delete
- Select Delete
Android app
- Select Labels from the main menu
- Select the label you wish to delete
- Swipe left and Delete
iOS app
- Select My Labels from the main menu
- Select the label you wish to delete
- Swipe left and Delete
If you delete a label it will be removed from any documents. If it is used in any inbox rules, they will also be affected.
